Who in the world is Joel Gardner? | Joel Gardner - Life in beta

About Joel

Joel Gardner

I am just a random guy who decided to add Yet Another Blog to the increasingly congested yet perpetually expanding Internet. I am truly honored that you have taken the time to visit JoelGardner.net and humbled that you have clicked over to the About page to figure out who exactly this Joel Gardner is and whether his ramblings, musings, and non-sequiturs are worth your precious time. I hope I don’t disappoint.

Who am I? I currently make my living as a web developer, having arrived at this vocation via the unlikely path of professional musician to television writer/producer/editor/marketer to web dev. That is what I do, but not necessarily who I am.

I am
an Android evangelist, humanist, technologist, and zymurgist;
a mountain biker, snowboarder, tinkerer, knowledge seeker, telecommuter, and photographer;
a coffee snob, beer snob, and hop head;
a music lover and nature lover.

My passion is finding solutions to problems (real or imagined) using the resources available. Some might call this hacking; I call it doing the best with what you have.

You can read my adventures in homebrewing at BeerUtopia.com and follow me on twitter and Facebook.

My life is forever in beta because there is always more to be learned, improvements to be made, and worlds to be explored. This is a work in progress…
